Bring a bold stroke of award-winning mid-century design to your stovetop with this iconic Copco Model 117 enameled cast iron tea kettle. Originally sketched in 1962 by the legendary American industrial designer Michael Lax, this sculptural masterpiece beautifully bridges bold Scandinavian modernism with serene, minimalist Japandi functional architecture. The heavyweight, thick-walled cylindrical body is blanketed in a highly saturated, vibrant sunshine yellow porcelain enamel that contrasts beautifully against a warm, sweeping overhead bentwood teak handle and matching blonde wood lid finial. Stamped clearly on its dark unglazed base as a highly collectible Spanish-production model, this striking heirloom-grade vessel serves as an eye-catching stovetop center-piece or a prized display object on an open kitchen shelf. Unfortunately there is some rusting in the interior of this kettle, but with such a stunning exterior we feel it's a worthy display and home styling item. 

Material: Heavy-duty porcelain-enameled cast iron body with natural teak bentwood handle and lid knob.
Color: Saturated canary/sunshine yellow exterior paired with an authentic dark charcoal interior lining.

Era: 1970s (Authentic vintage Model #117 stamped "Spain" on base).
Condition: Exterior in very good vintage condition. The vibrant yellow enamel exterior retains a beautiful, mirror-like high gloss finish. The interior does have some rusting so we recommend using this item for display and home styling only.
